This is the best hooded baby towel, and it’s a luxe baby gift your friends will actually use! You don’t need this towel, but you need this towel. Every time I wrap my baby up in ours, I pause to admire my cute little snow leopard in the mirror. The faux fur trim and little ears are TDF. There are definitely other hooded towels with ears on the market, but I’ve yet to find anything as luxuriously soft.
Fabric
Even if we ignore the cute faux fur details, this is a very absorbent towel. It’s soft and fluffy, as a good towel should be. The faux fur accents are a cozy polyester material. Sometimes my baby even likes to snuggle with the towel!
Care
Don’t be frightened by the care label! It instructs you to line dry this towel but honestly, I’ve thrown mine in the washer and dryer many times and it emerges as good as new! It’s totally unfussy. It’s been going strong with heavy use for fifteen months. Confession: it’s not the only best hooded baby towel we have, but it’s the only baby towel we use. We think it’s perfect. My baby is getting taller and I know she will grow out of it soon, but getting more than a year of use out of it is more than I can say of many baby products across categories.
Aesthetic
Let me say it again: BABY SNOW LEOPARD. The Little Giraffe towel comes in several color ways. I tend to like the most neutral options. (Surprise, surprise!) That said, one of my fabulous friends is expecting a baby girl and I can see her loving the pink zebra option. It’s even adorable just hanging on a hook on the back of the bathroom door.
Cost
$49 retail. We found ours at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, but this semi-splurge makes a perfect baby shower gift.
