Hi, I’m Kate! I live in a charming California beach town with my husband and baby daughter. I love reading, writing, and research. And I have a serious sweet tooth, so many days involve homemade chocolate chip cookies.
When I became pregnant for the first time in Spring 2015, I approached preparing for my baby’s arrival as an immersive research project. I read numerous articles, product reviews, and checklists as I prepared to care for a newborn full-time. Over those months I developed criteria for what I would buy for our new baby. Sometimes I favored serious investment pieces or felt comfortable splurging. Other times I found steals, sales, and cheap thrills. As a result, I developed a fun system that helps me choose the things I buy for my baby deliberately.
